Birdland kitchen lighting

A kitchen remodel that had the cabinets and stone sorted but one fluorescent box in the ceiling. We drew a three-layer plan, cut eight 4-inch cans on a 2700K dimmer, hung three pendants on their own circuit, and ran LED tape under every upper cabinet with the drivers hidden above.

What was included

  • Lighting plan on the cabinet drawing
  • Eight 4-inch recessed LED, wafer style, no attic needed
  • Three pendant boxes on a separate dimmer
  • Under-cabinet LED tape, drivers above the uppers
  • Lutron Caséta dimmers with a two-scene keypad
  • Dedicated counter circuits added while the walls were open

    Walked the kitchen at 7 pm with the owners. Agreed the pendants should carry the room.

  2. Week 1

    Plan

    Layout approved on the cabinet elevation; fixtures ordered.

  3. Day 1–2

    Rough

    Cans cut, pendant boxes braced, tape runs and drivers set.

  4. Day 3

    Scenes

    Trims in, dimmers paired, Cook and Dinner scenes programmed.
