FAQ · Ten questions
Straight answers.
The ten things people ask on the phone before they book. If yours is not here, call. A human answers until 9 pm.
How fast can you come out?
Call to check availability for a site visit. Tell us if you have lost power so we can discuss the next step.
Do you give prices over the phone?
No. We price after a site walk because the panel, the run and the permit are different in every house. You get a written scope the same day as the walk.
Who pulls the permit?
We do, for every job that needs one. We also book and meet the inspector.
How long does PG&E take?
Two to four weeks for a service upgrade release, in our experience across Sunnyvale and Cupertino. We file on day one and chase it weekly.
Are you licensed and insured?
C-10 electrical contractor, Lic #1047731 (sample). Bonded, general liability and workers’ compensation in force. Certificates on request.
Do you work on Eichlers?
Yes. Roughly a third of our rewiring and lighting jobs are Eichlers in Fairbrae, Fairwood and the Manors. No attic, radiant slab, we know the drill.
What is your warranty?
Five years on our workmanship, on top of the manufacturer’s warranty on equipment. The full terms are in your written scope.
Can you work with my general contractor?
That is most of our remodel work. We rough in between framing and drywall, come back for devices after paint, and keep the GC’s schedule.
Do you install solar or batteries?
We install the electrical side: the interconnect, the battery sub-panel and the critical-loads panel. Panels and racking come from your solar installer.
What areas do you cover?
Sunnyvale first, then Cupertino, Mountain View, Santa Clara, Los Altos, Campbell and West San Jose. About 25 minutes from our shop on Kifer Road.
Still have a question?
No cost, no obligation. We measure, you decide.
