About

Your local electrical team on Kifer Road.

Volta Electric is a fictional Sunnyvale electrical business in this showcase. This space is reserved for the owner’s introduction, team details and verified experience.

The owner

Rafael Ortega, C-10, on the van most days.

Rafael Ortega is the C-10 qualifier and is on the van most days, running the panel upgrades, load calculations and inspections himself.

The label printer is still the point. Every panel we touch leaves with a printed schedule, every junction box gets a circuit number, and every customer gets the permit card and the photos by email. Not because the code requires it, but because the next electrician, or Rafael in ten years, will thank us.

Ana Ortega runs the office on Kifer Road: permits, PG&E scheduling and the phone until six. The rest of the crew is listed below.

Workmanship warranty

Workmanship coverage, explained in writing.

If a connection we made fails, we come back and fix it. No form, no fee.

  • Workmanship terms

Terminations, splices, mounting and labeling. Manufacturer warranties on panels, breakers and chargers pass through to you.

  • Documented hand-over

Permit card, panel schedule, photos of every opened wall before it was closed. Emailed the week we finish.

  • A phone that's answered

Call with questions about your project or to arrange a visit.

How we price

After a site visit, in writing, once.

  1. 1

    Look at the panel

A 30-minute visit. We photograph the panel, check the service size and the grounding, and ask what you're planning to add.

  2. 2

    One written bid

Line items, the permit fee listed on its own, and the time on site. Nothing changes after you sign unless we open a wall and find something, and then you see the photo first.

  3. 3

    Inspection before invoice

The city signs off, then we send the invoice. If the inspector wants a correction, that's on us, not on your bill.
