Ducts & airflow

Questions
Asked on most site walks.
Can you just seal what is there?
Sometimes. Under 20% leakage and the right sizes, sealing is enough. Crushed, undersized or 1970s ducts get replaced.
Why is the back bedroom always hot?
Almost always a long undersized run with no return path. We fix the run and add a jump duct or transfer grille.
Does this need a permit?
Yes, with a HERS test. We handle both.
